Handsome, 5 year old, dark bay gelding looking for a new home! Eli is just not fast enough to race anymore, and is looking for a change in pace!
Eli is very loving and quiet when he is in the field or barn, but he is can be spooky around trucks and tractors when he is on the track. Eli is very quiet to be around and work with. He does have some problems with his stifle so hard riding would not be possible as his owners do not think he would be able to tolerate it. He would benefit from a home where he would be exercised, ridden lightly, and have plenty of turnout. Eli is looking to retire from the race scene soon!
Eli is only available to APPROVED homes only. Those who are interested must first fill out an application before viewing arrangements can be made. Please apply at http://www.mspha.ca/application

Toole’s Force,or better known as Maggie May, is available to a loving home. Maggie is a bay, four year old mare, who has been retired from racing as she is just not fast enough to be competitive.
Maggie is looking for an experienced, loving home to retire. She is not at all spooky on the track, cross-ties, picks up her feet well, and is great to work around. Time will tell.
This mare is truly a cuddle-bug and loves one on one time. She enjoys the company of people and loves apples and being brushed. Groundwork will be started with her until the perfect home is found!

REHOMING POSTPONED – “Georgio en Or” aka “George”
**Update** George is currently unavailable for rehoming. His current owner has decided to keep him and put off actively seeking a new home for him.
George is a very handsome black standardbred gelding looking for a great new home! He 16 hh, 13 years old, and is up to date on vaccinations, dentistry, worming and trims. He is very well trained in harness and would make a great driving horse, companion, or light saddle hose!!
His current owner would suggest he is only pastured with geldings. He is okay with a mare in the adjoining paddock though and is respectful of electric fences. His lives on 24/7 turnout and is an easy keeper.
George was originally posted as companion or driving horse only. The vet was out a few weeks ago to update George’s vaccinations, and had actually suggested that it would be good for him to be lightly ridden regularly to help with his arthritis. He would be considered good for an occasional, backyard rider looking for a laid-back ride a few times a week. He has been recently saddled and ridden (the first time in over 2 1/2 years) and he was an old pro. updated pictures are from his ride! He is also very well trained in harness and would make a beautiful cart horse.

ADOPTED BY MSPHA – “Grand Flare” aka “Collina”
Grand Flare – Tattoo #ZV236
Birthdate – May 6th, 2002
Collina is a 15’3hh, 9 year old bay standardbred mare looking for a caring, loving home where she will receive lots of TLC. Her current owner had rescued her from a situation this past December, but her circumstances have changed and is looking for a new home for this mare to continue her progress.
When Collina was first adopted, she was under weight, and covered in mud. Her current owner has been working with her to help her gain her confidence, and to recover her health to where it should be. She is gaining weight well, and her coat is clean and shiny. She has been recently dewormed, gets regular trims from her farrier, and is up to date on spring vaccinations. She also had her teeth floated which has been helping with her digestion. She has her own box stall in the evenings, and is turned out during the day in a spacious paddock.
Collina trailers well, is calm on the cross ties, and is great with the farrier. She is working on her manners, but her current owner says that she would be great under saddle for pleasure and trails. She has not yet started her saddle training, but with the warmer weather and longer days, this would be a great opportunity to continue her progress!
This horse is located in Sackville, N.S. If you are interested in giving Collina a chance, please fill out our easy-to-use application and apply today! http://www.mspha.ca/application
