ADOPTED BY MSPHA – “Grand Flare” aka “Collina”

Grand Flare – Tattoo #ZV236

Birthdate – May 6th, 2002

Collina is a 15’3hh, 9 year old bay standardbred mare looking for a caring, loving home where she will receive lots of TLC. Her current owner had rescued her from a situation this past December, but her circumstances have changed and is looking for a new home for this mare to continue her progress.

When Collina was first adopted, she was under weight, and covered in mud. Her current owner has been working with her to help her gain her confidence, and to recover her health to where it should be. She is gaining weight well, and her coat is clean and shiny. She has been recently dewormed, gets regular trims from her farrier, and is up to date on spring vaccinations. She also had her teeth floated which has been helping with her digestion. She has her own box stall in the evenings, and is turned out during the day in a spacious paddock.

Collina trailers well, is calm on the cross ties, and is great with the farrier. She is working on her manners, but her current owner says that she would be great under saddle for pleasure and trails. She has not yet started her saddle training, but with the warmer weather and longer days, this would be a great opportunity to continue her progress!
This horse is located in Sackville, N.S. If you are interested in giving Collina a chance, please fill out our easy-to-use application and apply today! http://www.mspha.ca/application

His current owner has bred and raised him and has been spoiled ever since. He is sound, and mostly clean legged, as he did have laser on a small tear in the outer sheath on his left front tendon which can barley be noticed. Scotty is well socialized, trailers well, loves attention, and treats! His current owner really thinks a lot of him, and would love to see him go to a good, loving home. Scotty would make a great prospect as a saddle horse!
